Shortly before battling in the '60s Funny Car Wars, Roger Lindamood's "Color me Gone" '64 Dodge won the '64 Indy Nationals Stock Eliminator with an 11.31 over Jim Thornton's Dodge running a close 11.47! Lindamood was one of Chysler’s “back door” drag racing guys and was blessed to receive “technical assistance” from the Engineering Department at Chrysler.
