Based on the fact that there were only 1,002 Cobras produced by Shelby, it’s a good bet that there are more Cobra badges that there were Cobras. Some of the Cobra replicars are so close to the real thing that you have to use the “fingernail test.” (DON”T do this when the owner is looking) Just “lightly” tap on the body with the top of your fingernail. If it’s fiberglass, you know it instantly. If it’s aluminum, you’ll REALLY know it! Just don’t get caught!
