In 1971 when Barry Setzer, the double knit fabric king from North Carolina, decided to get into drag racing, it was first class all the way. His race cars were "state of the art," beautiful, and spotless. For a time, Setzer ran a Vega funny car, a Vega pro stocker, and a stunning top fueler. After three weeks in the funny car biz, Kelly Brown drove the Setzer funny car to become the fastest funny car in the land with a 227.27 mph blast!
