Not since the Fuel Injected 327 had a small-block Chevy engine received so much attention. The 1970-1/2 LT-1 Corvette engine had everything the old Fuelie had, but all wrapped up in a simpler package. The only thing missing from the setup was a good set of tuned headers. The $447.60 option provided the Corvette with plenty of power as well as an excellent, balanced car. Unfortunately, the LT-1 would be gone after 1972.
