This piece was originally done for Super Stock & Drag Illustrated magazine back in 1987! The "shoebox" craze was in full swing with cars that included Jim Bryant's "Thundercraft" '57 Chevy and Norm Wizner's "Mega Ford." The late Steve Collison (editor of SS&DI) commissioned me to do something "fun" for a feature story on drag racings latest darlings.
