Chevy funny car fans never had a bigger hero than Jungle Jim. His brash, thrash, and bash style and 1/4 mile long smokey burnouts were absolutely stunning.
To stay competitive, JJ switched over the a Hemi engine, but by then, nearly everyone was using Hemi-power. But the Chevy couldn't have cared less, Jungle Jim was their hero.
Jim's untimely death has made him all the more heroic and hugely missed.
