Based on the stunning success of the Mako Shark II Show Car, Zora Arkus-Duntov and his crew were hard at work in 66 trying to get the new C3 shark Corvette ready for production. The 1967 model was supposed to be the new shark Corvette, but wasnt ready in time. So the 67 Corvette was a carryover car with a few minor changes. The 1967 427 Corvette would eventually become the most valued production Corvette ever. Looking back at the car, it looks finished. The new front fender vents picked up on the styling of contemporary racing cars and the new big-block hood was just perfect. The overall package is still a head-turner over 35 years later!
