Stylists got a hold of the '58 Corvette and complicated the new design with an extra set of headlights and a heavier bumpers and a more elaborate front grill. But racers can be very creative. This racing '58 Corvette has a cut-down windshield and roll bar. A substantial amount of weight was removed from the front end by removing the grill, headlights, and bumpers.
